Pichai one of the influential tech leaders addresses the evolution of AI in the upcoming years. One of the Videos released by Business Today seemed to predict the future of AI. Pichai addresses ‘Agentic Workflows’ saying, “Under Agentic Workflows you can describe a task in your natural language and AI can act on your behalf and accomplish that”.
He further added showing the progress for Agentic Workflows, “We and other companies are working on this Idea” and said onward, “I think will make progress”.

Regarding Agentic Workflows, not only Sundar Pichai but also other tech CEOs have given their statements such as Sam Altman, and Mark’s Meta, exposing an era where AIs will handle most of the work replacing humans. Pichai in his statement reveals examples from Google, which are the following.
Google’s ‘Project Mariner’.
Pichai talks about a Google project named Mariner, a browser extension that browses and completes the task, he reflects on its accuracy improvement, from 50% previously and now 85%. He says, “Mariner browser can go browse and do things for you complete and come back”.
Further reflecting on its state-of-the-art he said, “If you look at where the state of the art was, take a year ago, it was kind of roughly 50% effective, but today it’s progressed to around 85% and that shows the progress”.
AI Coding Assistant.
Furthermore talking about Coding and envisioning an era where with just instructions, code will be generated. He says, “Today! Software engineers at Google, while programming, take suggestions from AI”. He further said envisioning, “but now we are working on, where you can give it instruction and it will automatically go and write a program for you”.
He even says that, think about the use cases of these agentic AI’s which are available horizontally across various tasks. It’s going to be very powerful, and beneficial for various contexts to be assisted such as learning anything, a radiologist looking at images, or a doctor engaging with the patient.
