Nandan Nilekani co-founder of Infosys predicted that AI advancement will never replace humans’ core capabilities like empathy, leadership, and creativity. Although, it will automate tasks significantly. Nilekani argued even these skills will become valuable as the AI advances.

While talking to Moneycontro, at an AIMA event Nilekani said, “You can have all the AIs in the world, but if you can’t get five people to work together and collaborate, then you can’t go anywhere”.

Nandan Nilekani says that AI is more technical, and it will replicate or automate the whole technical task. He advocated skills like analysis or thinking AI cannot replace, learning them and mastering them will stand unique. Nilekani said, “AI is more mechanistic in its approach. Being able to go back principles and analyze something is something AI cannot do”.

Regarding job replication, he expressed a very optimistic thought. Talking to Moneycontrol, he said, “Some jobs will be affected, certain tasks will be automated-but few jobs will be entirely eliminated”. Rather he believes, “AI will make humans more productive and create new jobs we haven’t even thought of yet”.

DPI is fundamentally about inclusion at scale, and AI should be too”.
